Norma Solis, MSN, APRN, AGNP-C-graduated with Master’s Degree in Nursing Education (2012) and a Post-Master’s Degree in Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (2014) from University of Miami (UM).
As a Nurse Practitioner in Gastroenterology, she obtained a sub-specialization in inflammatory bowel disease and works hand in hand with world class experts in inflammatory bowel disease who offer leading-edge treatment options based on the latest research. Soon thereafter, She became a sub-investigator in numerous clinical trials currently being conducted for IBD. Her experience in IBD has provided different opportunities to present at both regional and national conferences.
In 2016, she became an adjunct professor for UM Graduate programs. She participates in medical missions to Dominican Republic to deliver compassionate healthcare to underserved communities. Her research interest is in developing nurse practitioner fellowship programs. This program will be created for novel nurse practitioner graduates and will provide advance didactic with a focused in clinical experience so that graduates have the skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care in any specialty of preference.
